Decided to go this evening. Rosa’s Mom, Adela; wasn’t feeling good.

She got a cold and was resting. Rosa went to her house to prepare her

a full chicken soup with lots of vegetables. Including two pounds of

garlic. I came to the cemetery with Lobo and Cuco, Cuco is family now.

It was almost closing time. The staff know me. They know I take care

of the cemetery when they go home. Armed with my bottle of Tequila,

my night lamp and my pocket knife. No dead person could be capable

of harming me or my dear two friends. Not even the Devil. I carry a

collar of garlic in my neck. Along with Jesus’s crucifix.

A bottle of blessed water. Two stems of Rosemary leaves. And a

machete in my shoulder. I’m ready for any contingency. I’m kidding.

I’m carrying nothing but my silly thoughts. I’ll get comfortable and

think about next.. I fed Lobo and Cuco before coming. But I still have a

tuna sandwich to share with me before we go to sleep. It’s a pleasant

sultry evening. We shall be OK. I bring the petroleum night lamp to the

stone. Write for a while then I switch to Don Quijote. One more time.

for the tenth time…it’s the only book I ever read. Are there anymore?

Good folks, may you all have a good night.

Sincerely.

EO
