Your loved dog dies. Leaving a deep void. A cavernous place in your
living room. You notice his bed. Toys. Recount his steps. Running crazy.
Up and down the hall in excitement. Jumping and showing his happy
smile. Fanning his tail as a wind mill blade. Jumping to your chest
throwing you to the sofa. Life was good. But…time take its toll. On
dogs and humans as we know. And it’s all right. Spring is not eternal.
Neither the other three year seasons. One ceases. Then the other shows
up. That’s what makes us distinguish many things through time.
With all its variants. And changes. But, when our beautiful loved dog
dies…we just want to hold to the last moment of seeing his sweet
beautiful eyes…and refuse to let go. But, there’s nothing we can do.
But cry and grieve for a while. Not for too long. He wouldn’t want us to
be mournful forever. And there is no choice left but to carry on.
Sweet furry brother of mine. May you be happy among the stars.
