Are back at the cabin. After having spent Christmas and New Year’s Eve
at his daughter’s house in L.A. He had a hectic great enjoyable time.
Spending long conversations with his old friend Jose, from México City.
Watching his granddaughters running in the yard after Chico.
It was lovely. Now he feels he needs time to reincorporate himself to his
own routine. Starting with getting up and setting the coffee maker.
Feeding the deer, squirrels, and Chico at the porch.
And making himself breakfast with eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast and
strong coffee. Finishing the coffee pot sitting at the porch. Watching his
beautiful furry friends. And then taking his walk into the woods with
Chico. His bath in the singing stream. Listening to the birds while Chico
keeps an ear and eyes all over. Going back to the cabin. Having some
lunch. Playing some piano pieces. Always his wife’s Lisa favorite ones.
Taking a nap. Sit outside waiting for the moon and stars to show up
before going to bed. Read and sleep. With Chico at his side. Life is good.
