The situation is dire in Kyiv. Have to stay. Along with friends and
relatives. All women and old folks are leaving against their will.
Women recently married. Others, expecting a baby. The roads are
congested in chaos. Heavy artillery is being moved in all directions.
Snow is deep red colored for the first time in my life. Rivers of blood
are getting as wide as the Nile. Better you and Jennie get away to
Estonia. Use your cell phone to keep me informed. I’m waiting for my
first military orders. I don’t even know what a fire arm looks like. Being
a teacher, the hardest thing I held in my hands was a pencil # 2.
Anyway. Here we are along thousands of young people fighting for
country and liberty. Never thought about it. After reading about it in
countless books. This is for real. Tears melt the ice at our feet but we
have to carry on. Sweet love, don’t be afraid. I think we shall be
together again soon. And were I to die…sweet love…carry on.
Hoping life would bring you a good man to your life.
Love you. Love you.
